CHOCOLATE BEATS MEDIA offers workshops and presentations in Digital Video and Audio Media Production as well as Media Literacy for High School Age Youth and Adults.

Idris Hassan has presented workshops at the annual Women of Color Empowerment Conference at UC Berkeley and at the Annual Media Alliance Conference in Detroit, MI. She is a frequent guest instructor for the First Voice Media Action Apprentice Program at KPFA radio in Berkeley, CA. For several years Ms. Hassan has taught media and journalism skills to high school students in partnership with the Oakland Unified School District. She has also produced events such as the First Annual Youth Media Awards in partnership with the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and Bay Area media partners such as KTVU, KBLX, and NBC. Her student’s award winning work has appeared on PBS/ KQED.
